3. Tertiary Layer – Urban Design & Planning interventions
Treating the natural systems and processes as the primary layer for planning ensures the protection and conservation of important natural patches and features. Network of ecosystems, water systems etc. become sacrosanct.
Cultural systems and processes become the secondary layer, ensuring a sustainable use of resources and protection of natural areas and features. The Urban Design and Planning interventions are then prepared, which would give rise to a more sustainable solution.
